Shipping
When will you ship my order?
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves our hands.
How long does shipping take?
Once shipped, most orders arrive within 5 to 7 business days via USPS. Delivery times vary by location.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping rates on all orders is $7.99. Free shipping for orders over $49. Exact rates are also shown at checkout before payment.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to the United States only.
My order hasn't arrived — what should I do?
Start with the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. If your package shows as delivered but you haven't received it, check with neighbors and your local post office. Still no luck? Email us at Juli@shattuckfarmgoatmilksoapnstuff.com and we'll sort it out.
Our Products
Is your soap safe for sensitive skin?
Our soaps are made with raw goat milk, plant-based oils, tallow or lard and free of sulfates, phthalates and parabens. Most people with sensitive skin do well with our products. If you have a known allergy to any ingredient, check the full ingredient list on each product page. When in doubt, start with our unscented bar.
Are your products natural, vegan, or cruelty-free?
Our products are considered natural. Our fenced farm free ranging goats supply the milk. We primarily use plant-based oils in our products which are sourced from reputable commercial resources. Occasionally we may substitute tallow and or lard for palm oil due to allergy.
How long does handmade soap last?
Unopened, our soaps keep well indefinitely. Once you start using a bar, it'll last 3 to 5 weeks with daily use. For longest life, let your bar dry out between uses and store it on a draining soap dish.
Why does each bar look a little different?
Every bar is made by hand in small batches, so slight variations in color, swirl pattern, and size are completely normal — and a sign that a real person made your soap. The ingredients and quality are consistent batch to batch.
Orders & Returns
Can I change or cancel my order?
We start processing orders quickly, so changes aren't always possible. Email us at Juli@shattuckfarmgoatmilksoapnstuff.com as soon as you can and we'll do our best. Once an order has shipped we can't make changes to it.
What's your return policy?
Because our products are personal care items, we don't accept returns on opened or used bars. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, email us within 15 days of delivery and we'll make it right. We stand behind what we make.
My order arrived damaged — what do I do?
We're sorry — that shouldn't happen. Email us at Juli@shattuckfarmgoatmilksoapnstuff.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and we'll send a replacement right away.
About the Business
Where are you located?
We're based in Ione, California. Our soap is made in my home kitchen. We don't have a retail storefront, but you can find us at local markets and events — follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay in the loop.
Do you sell at local markets or events?
Yes — you can find us at Amador County Farmer's Market (AFM) on Wednesdays in June and July in Ione. AFM moves to Plymouth in August and September on Thursdays. We pop up at local events a few times a year. The best way to catch us in person is to follow along on Facebook and Instagram or join our email list.
Do you offer wholesale or custom orders?
We don't currently offer wholesale, but we do take custom orders for weddings and events. Contact us to chat about what you have in mind.
